Chineseeeee

Yesterday after a very long time Sameer & me hapened to re visit this popular Chinese food restaurant around in seven bunglow area of Andheri. The place is called Hakka - Chinese & more.
Well to start with the decor...they have re vamped the place with posters of food on the wall and very minimal lighting which supports saving electricity along with adding grace to the place!
If you are looking for good value for money....then this place is a must try for all chinese lovers! I wud definitely grade it higher to its neighbouring competatitor Stomach!
This has much more to serve in trems of quality and authenticity.
A must have is any of the listed soups on the menu and do try their meal options if you arent a assorted ordering person!
Among the deserts, not all are very good but their choclate mousse is a clear winner!
So next time u around this place dnt forget to try it...

Gold Money Pot

I was just going through the sports news few days back, and have learnt that the Olympic Gold medalist Abhinay Bindra was awarded a prize money of Rs 50 lakh by the Government during the Arjuna Awards ceremony on August 29. I have no personal feeling against Mr Bindra, in fact I feel he is a perfect role model for Indian youth to concentrate on sports like riffle shooting and excel in them. Especially in our country where ‘cricket’ is suppose to be the game of the nation! Anyway, do not want to mix another story here.
Am clearly supporting government’s idea too, to facilitate, acknowledge, appreciate and give exposure to such great sportsmen….in turn promoting sports in India. However, 50 lakhs seem to be a huge amount and am sure we can consider doing much more with this amount than just awarding it.
The real motive is to encourage or uphold such people and elevate the idea to excel in the sports field in minds of the youth of the country, which could also be easily achieved with messages from the prime minister / president through national televisions, radio etc. Instead this amount could be used as an investment…to hunt talent across the country and groom them with the best facilities and produce more of Bindras & Vijendra who have made India really proud…. I really wonder what happened after we saw the hockey based movie, ChakDe last year…the idea and implementation of the movie guess got restricted only to debates & discussion on news & entertainment channels. Government made the movie tax-free for the masses to view and learn from it…what government’s execution was on the subject?
I don’t mean to start an agitation here but the prize money has been increased by Rs 20 lakh after Sports Minister MS Gill requested the Finance Minister and the Prime Minister to hike the sum in honour of Abhinay winning the gold medal. The sum for silver and bronze medal winners has also been raised to Rs 30 lakh from Rs 18 lakh and Rs 20 lakh from Rs 2 lakh, respectively by the ministry. These amounts could be sanctioned, to train & upscale skills of talented individuals by these stars, with their expertise and guidance.
It’s really a shame that in spite of existing capabilities we aren’t resourcing the amount in the needful direction to surface more proficiency in order to hike the number of medals to be received in the next Olympics
